陳綺貞 A Piece of Summer 新加坡演唱会
好棒， 好动人。
不需要特地制造效果，不需要夸张的舞步；她独特，动人的嗓音 就足以打动台下的观众。
我一直以来都觉得只有穿着裙子的坏人会用的 accordion 配合在 80%完美的日子 的曲子里， 感觉好自在， 身体不由自主和音乐的旋律摇晃。
她还唱了很多我喜欢的歌，像 小步舞曲， 華麗的冒險， 最初的起點 （很意外, 因为DVD里没）， 太聰明 等等。
她说： “我常常觉得自己是非常幸运的； 像今天晚上 我们可以在这边很平安， 很宁静的享受音乐， 享受创作灵感； 可是也许在此刻的同时还有有很多人 他们身陷在身活还有身存 基本的挣扎当中。。 那他们可能没有这么幸运像我们这样。”

After getting volunteered by 5ong (or else i will not strike Toto ever), here’s some random facts about me.
- i like to read (mostly, anything but lecture notes).
i have to read something before i sleep. Can be magazine, a novel, comic.
- reading helps with my bowel movements.
- my mum told me i had different colour hair at birth and my parents thought they got someone else’s son.
mom also said i didnt speak till quite a late age. i guess that means i’m born quiet.
- i find the act of eating a very animal-like act.
- i hate crowds. i go sch on Saturdays if i’ve no plans to print notes so as to avoid crowds.
- i’m a avid gamer. i’ve had many gaming systems: nes, megadrive, snes, gameboy, gamegear, sega saturn, playstation, xbox.
wanted to be a professional game reviewer but dropped the idea as “my engrish is cmi”
7. i love cats. i know how to interact with cats but not dogs..
dogs know how to interact with me. one chased me for a few streets
8. i love stefanie sun. she is goddess. period.
- “Penny wise, pound foolish” describes me very well.
Tunnel visioned, shallow and irrational sometimes.
- i find the internet amazing.
Get well soon 5ong! sidenote: there’s this watch ad endorsed by Andy Lau some time ago, one of the advertising statements was something along the lines of “it doesnt matter whether you win or lose, what’s important is to do what you will not regret tomorrow.” find it makes alot of sense.
i hope i’d never get chick pox. the funny thing is, if a tv character wishes not to get a particular sickness, he’d usually die suffer badly from the said sickness. hmmmmm
I’ve been spending wayyy too much time and attention (not to mention moolah) on my new hobby: collecting anime figurines. Am so drawn to it that i’d have to eat bread for this month and probably the following months..
Unfamiliar locations like sunshine plaza and china square central became places of interest as they are the local figurines paradise. Lots of figurines can be found and/or preorder at the shops there.
The figurines of my affection are from the anime Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsuthe (The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi).
The lady in the first pic is the main character of the anime, Suzumiya Haruhi. 2nd pic features the main cast. This anime is one of the the most interesting animes i’ve seen (actually it does’nt count for much since the number of animes i have seen can be counted with both hands). The kawaii girls definitely add to the watch-able factor. The gist: Haruhi is a stubborn girl who “has no interest in mankind” and only wants to meet “aliens, future people, and ESPs”. She forms a club in school called “Sekai wo Ooini moriagerutame no Suzumiya haruhi Dan” or (SOS dan for short) with her objective of finding weird stuff in mind. Club members all seem to be there for a reason as the plot unfolds… Don’t wanna post spoilers! More info can be found here or you can wiki it. One feature of the series is it does not run in a synchronous manner, ie for example events that took place in episode 7 can be after episode 10. This makes viewing kinda confusing but in the end it’s actually one it’s the alluring points; it adds to the mysterious factor (or something like that).
I wanna get the limited edition dvd from amazon.com (hint hint) but the episodes in the collection run synchronously. Not too big a turn off but it feels like the original flavour is being taken away. Eh, it’d have to wait till after beginning nov to see if i have to get it myself (cough cough). Hehe. Hopefully it’d still be in stock!

looks and feels great in my hand. love the shiny sapphire blue exterior~ my mom’s phone is more sleek than mine!
anyway, i found a software to transfer phone contacts and test messages from Sony Ericsson phones to pc >> MyPhoneExplorer. it’s also possible to edit/extract calendar items. very handy for making backups of contact numbers and text messages. What i found most useful is that this software makes it possible to view sms in phone on pc, making it easier to mass delete text messages when the phone text memory is almost full. nice~
iPod Touch – touch screen iPod! Appearance is identical with the iphone. Wi-fi enabled for web surfing! But i wonder how it’d work in singapore. The new iPod nano looks kinda of out of shape.. and it plays videos now. the best deal seems to be the new iPod classic, 80gb model @ $428. Battery life is touted at 5hrs for video playback. BUT.. what happened to the white ipods?? there’s only silver and black now. hmmmm..

Yesterday night i prepared for a tutorial (which took place today) about e-commerce companies, one of them being FreshDirect, a US based online fresh food delivery store.
This morning while waiting for the bus, i saw this guy wearing a FreshDirect company t-shirt. But it’s FreshDirect.com.sg and they’re based locally. I guess they are not affiliated.
And one of the discussion points was whether a FreshDirect style store can succeed in Singapore. Hmmm..
