Merry Christmas to all~

I received a gift recently, my bday and x’mas gift from xt:

Hugmug from max brenner. Thanks so much xt :)

Results will be out tml. It’s what i’ve been dreading since after the exams. I shall check them on monday so as to enjoy the weekend. Oh, Mr & Mrs Smith will be shown on ch5 this Sunday, 715pm. It’s an entertaining show, funny, action packed and romantic. Catch it if you can.

the past week was great.

collected my long awaited figurine from the post office under interesting circumstances (more on that next time if i’m not lazy) on monday, tuesday went in search of gift for G for his upcoming birthday. to save on transport as i’m without bus concession i made trips to westmall, imm and the chervons on foot. Super tiring but still did not find his gift. wednesday went searching again in town, located gift and went Leisure park at kallang to visit the relocated anime store. It was a good idea to go there for more than one reason. thurs went mediacorp for yanzi’s recording of SPOP programme (!). What a great way to spend a public holiday! She’s gorgeous as ever. Took pic with Quan Yifeng also :) Friday celebrated G’s birthday and caught National Treasure: Book of Secrets. Rather interesting, i had my doubts as i didnt watch the prior film but Nicolas Cage is good enough reason to watch.

ICT was depressing. Depressing as i received another call up notification informing me of another in camp training in june the night before i reported for this ict. Depressing as we were briefed that we belong to the IHL (institute of higher learning), meaning all our in camps will either be in june or dec (ie cannot siam) . Depressing as we were left waiting for long periods of time with no idea what was going on. Depressing as we were informed there were not enough beds to accommodate all of us and we were to stay out. Stay out is good but too much of it will be expensive and time consuming due to traveling back and forth camp.

It’s interesting how NSF and NSmen are treated differently. I heard the following from a friend: He and his friends were walking from point A to point B in the camp while a warrant officer stopped them. The warrant asked them, Which unit are you all from? Are you all not issued head dress? (by right we were supposed to wear them) and, Who is your CSM (sergeant major)? To which my friend replied he didnt know. The warrant was puzzled and asked them, How can they not know their CSM? My friend then answered, dunno leh, we just posted in today to (our NSmen unit). The warrant was surprised and actually smiled at them and left them alone. Sw was harassed by a warrant who was out to make life difficult for ppl. I really have a problem with his attitude, why does he have to show ppl face so early in the morning? His manner changed when we informed him we were NSmen.

Oh, it was a wise decision to get a shorter haircut as our previous RSM caught many many ppl with long hair and had to have their hair cut by a part time barber who sells rojak at one of the canteens..

This interesting website allows sg users to record sg shows and watch them online! And it’s free! Currently ch5, ch8 and CNA are supported.

With it i can still watch 摆家乐 (Home Décor Survivor) even tho i’m in camp :)

Company of Heroes

“The enemy is just around the house! Wanna rush them?”
“Sure! You go first!”
“…”
“Aiyah just call the artillery la!”

reservist starts tml. It has been on my mind since after exams and spent much of this week to preparing. Sewing of the unit and vocation badge on the uniforms, buying all the lost items and squeezing them into ziplock bags. I managed to misplace my field pack.

It’s amazing how i can lose such a big thing. Results of my complacent attitude at ord.. no idea where i left it!
My mom says “在婆婆家啦!”
and my grandma says “你早就拿回家了!” (-_-!)

so i borrowed the field pack from mh (thanks dude!) as they were sold out in emart.

one thing i really do not like is taking a shower in a cold night. It’s been raining the past few days, likely to continue raining and the showers will be extremely cold…. sian.

hopefully it’d rain on tues and fri but not on thurs!

I was told that having a high GPA would open all kinds of doors for me. But you know what? I interviewed with lots of companies, received a total of 14 job offers after graduation, and none of them asked about it. They were much more impressed with stuff like serving as Chief of Staff for the student government and starting a radio station run by 200 volunteers.

from Lifehacker. Hmmm. I should join some cca

This is very funny.
