whats the difference between a scholar and dumbo? scholar gets his own office (complete with door and great window view) while dumbo gets cubicle seat next to main door.
internship has started. during the initial chat with my supervisor, it was so hard to resist the urge to ask for bigger allowance.
the office ppl are rather friendly and are on a first name basis.

Scholar and me were posted to the same office. Our supervisors treated us for lunch on our first day, together with this new guy who reported to work on the same day. During our conversation, the supervisor asked, “So what school were you guys from?”
New guy: HCJC.
Scholar: NJ.
Me: (neighborhood school).
followed by a split second of awkward silence. Sigh.

tmr is the start of attachment. tho its only for a short period of time, i’m still quite nervous about it. new surrounding, fresh faces, change of routines.
am tired by just thinking of what time i have to wake up tmr.
Microsoft ‘fixes’ its malware problem
IT SEEMS MICROSOFT has realised that the product activation malware it forces on users of Windows has a bad name. Springing into action, it has done the only thing it can do – change the name.
According to Computerworld, Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) – something that does not have any advantages, genuinely – is now called Windows Activation Technology (WAT).
Whatever Microsoft calls it, there is absolutely no benefit to the user.
WGA or WAT, it only hurts legitimate customers by taking away their rights to use the software they purchased. You don’t get what you pay for, you only get software and stifling restrictions.
If you read Microsoft’s own definitions on the Microsoft Malware Protection Center, here, WGA/WAT fits as Malware, Trojan and Backdoor Trojan.
..If you want to pirate, it won’t slow you down, but if you pay for your software, all you get is pain.
Computerworld has a Microsoft WGA/WAT spokesman quoted as saying: “When we went out and talked to customers, we found that activation was the concept that resonated most strongly with them.”
The quote ends there, but may have ended, “…like memories of the first time they were kicked in the groin.“
..There is no advantage to it for the user, only advantages for Microsoft. And renaming it won’t make it more attractive to users or any more palatable.

So nostalgic! they used to be such amazing toys to spur imagination. playing them near plants = jungle, carrying the vessels around the air as they explored space. such fun. they were not cheap and hard to come by; if lucky will get them on occasions like birthday, or when parents strike 4D ( v rare)
used to have this:
kids nowadays dun play with lego anymore huh? with video games and all.

Weird thought while in the midst of an exam paper: wouldn’t it be great if i could write with both hands? left hand take over when right hand is tired.
exams were tough. went to sch almost everyday, only on sundays get to sleep 1 hour later as the library opens later. packed breakfast and lunch to school which consists of sandwiches and snacks like hello panda.
during one of the core papers, this tutor who i think taught the mod kept standing beside me and i suppose read my answers. i had the impression he did so bcos i didnt attend his lessons.
pray the markers don’t laugh too hard when they see some of my answers.
the motivating factor to pull thru the exam period, thai trip with dudes, was postponed. sigh. was so looking forward to traveling again.
